We are proud to strengthen our partnership with Ogyre, a certified B Corp committed to protecting the oceans through the “Fishing for Litter” initiative. What started as a 3-year commitment to remove 3,000 kg of marine litter, engaging fishing communities in Italy, Indonesia and Brazil, has now evolved into an even more ambitious project. Over the past year, we successfully reached our first milestone of 1,000 kg of marine litter collected. Following the evolution of Ogyre’s operational model, which now also includes ocean-bound waste (waste at high risk of reaching rivers and oceans), we have decided to further expand our impact. Preventing waste from entering marine ecosystems is just as crucial as collecting it.

Starting this year, Soteco will double its annual target to 2,000 kg of marine litter and ocean-bound waste for 2026 and 2027, with significantly greater impact.

Our updated 3-year goal is now 5,000 kg of waste to be collected:

• 1,000 kg of marine litter already collected in 2025
• 4,000 kg of mixed waste over the following two years

This initiative continues to reflect what makes this partnership especially meaningful to us:

• A strong connection to our roots in the Genoa area, where both Soteco and Ogyre began their journeys.
• A global impact with local significance, supporting fishing communities in Italy, Indonesia, Brazil and Senegal regions where Soteco has long-standing ties.

Our commitment goes beyond waste removal. It is about prevention, environmental responsibility, and tangible support for coastal communities.
